Antecedents
Grupo Profusa is a familiar business dedicated to housing development and urbanization.
This organization has reached a size that a profound restructuring process is needed to face the change and competitive environment.
The field project comprisess three areas to analyze and develop:
Organizational development
Corporate Strategy
Technological Stategy
Organizational Development
Grupo Profusa has detected that its organizational health is not going well due to the following symptoms:
-Lack of initiative
- Politics and procedures are not well established neither followed
- Bottlenecks
- There isn´t teamwork
- The company is tight to traditions and habits
Organizational Development is an answer that allows the organization to face changes as a part of normal evolution.
Corporate Strategy
Strategy gives the company direction to all activities and decisions.
The organization has to implement a value-creating strategy in three principal headings:
Product
Geographical
Vertical
With the objective to be driven by major goals such as growth and profitability.
Technological Strategy
The corporate strategy needs to be supported in a good Information Technology implementation.
The company doesn't have a formal systems area, so it's necessary to convince the board and every employee about the relevance to have it .
Advantage: To have real-time information on all relevant business processes that allows the company to increase its benefits.
Hypothesis
The main research hypothesis in which this project should be based:
An "Organizational development, corporate and technological strategy" project based on the recommendations that this work gives would let Grupo Profusa improve its profitability, productivity and internal integration. This field project will comprise three main areas to analyze and develop; Organizational Development, Corporate Strategy and Technological Strategy.
