The Center for Transnational Leadership and Entrepreneurship focuses on helping academic institutions, businesses, and organizations tap their internal creative powers to inspire corporate governance, management change solutions, and innovation within existing business models. Through the Center and the synergy resultant from International Management Consulting Services, our spectrum of innovation- our integrated expertise in strategy formation, process improvement, change management, and technology and product development- we help organizations establish a sustainable innovation premium, creating strong financial performance and accelerated growth. Concurrently, I am an Adjunct Professor in the Masters Division of International Economics and Management Program at SDA Bocconi University in Milano.
Associate Professor of International Management at Franklin College Switzerland
Responsible for eight course preparations; Financial Accounting, Managerial Finance, International Financial Management, International Human Resources, International Business, Country Risk Assessment, Global Strategic Management and Global Research Strategies. Presented scholarly research at EURAM; lectured in the "Honors" program; and directed student internships. I also led Academic Travel trips to Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tunisia. Institutional Service included Chair of the Faculty Senate, Area Coordinator for International Management, and Member of the College-wide Curriculum Committee (2001-2003).

Accountable for strengthening university institutional advancement, cultivating private donor support, enlisting alumni involvement and financial commitment, communicating effectively with various constituencies, and articulating academic excellence to the community (1997-1999). Reason for Leaving: To conduct field research in the Fisher Graduate School at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and at CSU Monterey Bay for writing the doctoral dissertation.
President and CEO of San Joaquin Memorial High School
Accountable as administrative manager, a proven fundraiser, and a strongly inspirational but sensitive leader. Responsible for managing and interpreting financial, personnel, and educational policies and procedures for all aspects of a private high school operation according to the principles and directives as established by the Board of Trustees at SJM (1996-1997).

Responsible for general management of the operations, marketing and sales, finance and TQC activities of a $60 million privately held meat-processing business. Accountable for all phases of the company according to the corporate policies as established by the shareholders (1994-1996).

Business Management Consultant, University Lecturer, and Director of Advancement
Engaged as an international business consultant to formulate research projects, conduct strategic visioning for both domestic and multinational corporations, and develop business opportunities for firms newly active or expanding operations in East Asia/Pacific Rim, Latin America, and the European Community. Concurrently, contracted to teach courses as an Adjunct Professor at California universities and colleges in International Business, Business Policy, Management Science, Operations Management, Financial Management, International Organizational Behavior, Personnel Management and Business Communications.

Developed incremental sales from US$10 million to US$30 million in two years by building a regional organization composed of four business groups in six international markets. Launched new “niche” product offerings and brand packaging innovations with significant consumer market appeal and share growth that provided successful access to a global US$10 billion market.
International Paper Chief Financial Officer and Asia Region Controller, 1987-1989
Designed and implemented a regional financial structure that reduced corporate taxes on local country earnings, saving US$5 million annually. Directed multi-currency computerization of financial reporting that reduced processing time by two thirds and staff by 20%. Concluded successful high-level government negotiations to secure favorable investments terms, significantly expand joint venture equity ownership and tax incentives, and reduce tariffs.
International Paper Managing Director and Vice President - IPI Corporation, 1985-1987
Directed manufacturing operations of major Japanese food packaging firm and achieved a 25% increase in plant productivity and efficiencies from factory-wide implementation of TQM principles. Trained and managed local direct sales and business development staff which increased revenue by 30% in two years. Negotiated with suppliers to adopt JIT inventory management and realize savings of US$2million.
International Paper Operations Director and Project Manager, 1978-1985
Supervised factory construction and start-up of East Asian and Latin American subsidiaries on schedule and 15% under budget. Initiated major facility upgrading to achieve a 10% capacity increase and 25% reduction in waste. Introduced new converting technology resulting in 30% improvement in operating efficiencies and inaugurated the development in new packaging systems using 20% less packaging material while preserving structural integrity.
